CARE INSTRUCTION
Do permanent eyebrows hurt?
Everyone has a different pain tolerance level, but most guests are completely comfortable and relaxed during the procedure. I have even had guests fall asleep during the procedure. Topical lidocaine is used to make you feel comfortable during the procedure. Additional numbing liquid can be applied during the procedure to keep you comfortable.
How long do permanent brows last?
Key factors that play a role in permanent brow longevity are skin type, lifestyle, metabolism, age, medication, and pigment color.
The guest’s skin type is the biggest factor in the longevity of the brows. Oilier skin heals softer and drier skin can heal darker and more defined. Darker pigments tend to last longer. Using sunscreen on your brows will prevent color from fading. Avoiding aggressive exfoliation helps the longevity of the brows as well.
*Final results vary and CAN NOT be guaranteed due to the nature of the guest’s skin as it heals. A 6-12 week touch-up is required to determine pigment retention and make any necessary changes.
How long is a permanent brow appointment?
The initial appointment time is 4 hours. This includes a thorough consultation, design process, numbing time, treatment, photography, and videography.
What do I need to avoid prior to my permanent eyebrow appointment?
No alcohol, caffeine, aspirin, or ibuprofen 24 hours before the procedure.
You cannot be on blood thinning medications or antibiotics.
No waxing at least 3 days before the procedure.
Discontinue any retinol, Retin-A, Differin, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion 2 weeks prior.
Botox must be done 2 weeks prior.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure to the face 2 weeks prior.
You cannot be pregnant or nursing.
You must be off Accutane for one full year.
You cannot be currently undergoing cancer treatment. You must be off chemo or radiation for 6 months.
How do I prepare for my permanent eyebrow appointment?
If you have reference photos please bring them to your appointment. You can also bring the brow makeup you are currently using.
If you tint your brows, you will want to do this 72 hours prior to your procedure.
You will need to avoid water for 7-10 days after your procedure. This includes sweating, running your face under the shower faucet, pools, lakes, salt water, extreme sun exposure, saunas, tanning beds, and hot tubs.
No botox, fillers, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, or any extreme exfoliation 2 weeks prior to and after your procedure.
No blood thinners, alcohol, caffeine, Aspirin, or Ibuprofen 24 hours prior to your procedure.
No waxing 3 days prior.
Discontinue Retinol, Retin-A, Differin, or any acne topical creams 2 weeks prior.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure 2 weeks prior.
What factors affect my permanent eyebrows?
OILY SKIN - increased oil production can push pigment out of open skin and cause pigment to blur and heal lighter and more powdery.
ANEMIA & IRON DEFICIENCY - your body will absorb iron-based pigments faster.
SUN EXPOSURE - increased sun exposure will cause pigment to lighten and discolor. You will need to wear professional facial sunscreen to protect your permanent eyebrows.
AGE & METABOLISM - the faster your metabolism, the quicker the pigment will fade.
BLEEDING DURING PROCEDURE - excessive bleeding will push pigment out of the skin. While this is not entirely in our control, it is important to follow pre-appointment instructions to minimize bleeding. These include avoiding caffeine, alcohol, and blood thinning medications (Advil and Ibuprofen) 24 hours prior to your appointments.
SWEATING OR WETTING BROWS DURING HEALING TIME - Sweat and water can push/pull the pigment out of the skin making the pigment heal much lighter than desired. Make sure you follow aftercare instructions.

What can I expect immediately after my appointment?
Most guests leave the appointment with no redness. A numbing solution is applied throughout the procedure to control swelling and redness. This means you can continue with your day immediately following your appointment.
Depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare (after 4 weeks) the color will reduce by 30%-50%. Any patchiness or lightness will be addressed during your touchup appointment 6-12 weeks after your initial appointment.
In the hours following the procedure, your brows will appear darker and bolder due to the oxidation in the surface layer of your skin. Your brows may also appear warm in color. You should expect to feel slightly overwhelmed during this time. Any redness or swelling will disappear after 48 hours.
Around day 3-5 you may notice some flaking or light scabbing on the treated area. DO NOT PICK AT THIS. Picking can result in loss of pigment to these areas. Your brows may appear spotty or patchy until the entire brow has finished healing. The true color will be evident around 4 weeks.
The treated area will go through phases during healing. During healing, brows may appear very light or have lost pigment entirely. This is because during healing the epidermis of your skin thickens causing the pigment to look diffused or muted. Once the epidermis is healed and back to normal, you will see the pigment better. The epidermis will normalize over the next 4-6 weeks and softened pigment should appear more clearly on the surface of the skin.
*It is very important to understand that this is a process.
What is my brow aftercare?
Do not get your brows wet.
Avoid sweating, sun exposure, sun beds, steam rooms, saunas, and putting your face under running water for 7-10 days
When washing your face wash around your brows. Do not get your face wet. Use a washcloth to wash your face.
You will receive a cleanser and a healing serum to apply morning and night for 7-10 days 1. Use ½ of a pea size amount of the cleanser on clean hands. 2. Get the cleanser damp 3. Emulsify the cleanser in your hands and lightly rub it back and forth on your brows. 4. Use a damp cotton round to clean off the cleanser. 5. Use a dry cotton round to pat your brows dry. 6. Use ½ of a pea size amount to apply a thin layer of the healing serum to your brows.
If your brows flake, they are completely healed when they are done flaking.
Once they are healed apply sunscreen to your brows to protect them from the sun.
If I have had my brows tattooed before can you touch them up?
An in-person consultation is required for anyone with previously tattooed, microbladed or powdered eyebrows. At this appointment, we can discuss prices, different brow options, and schedule sufficient time for the procedure.
Who are permanent eyebrows for?
Anyone! The best part is I offer different types. This makes this process more versatile. Whether you want bold or small natural adjustments, we will work together to find the perfect brow for you.
Too dark, too light, or just right?
It is very important to understand that the treated area will go through phases during healing. Days 1-5 expect to feel slightly overwhelmed with the intensity and warmth of the color. Then you may experience flaking. This may be followed by a period where your pigment will disappear. It is completely normal for the pigment to lighten or even disappear. Color is truly evident after 4 weeks. All adjustments will be handled at your 6-12 week touch-up session.
Why do I need 2 brow sessions?
The touch-up is 6-12 weeks after the initial appointment. This is to allow the brows to heal as well as give the guest time to get adjusted. At the touch up we will discuss if you want to make any changes in regards to color, thickness, and density. We will touch up the brows according to any changes discussed.
Are your pigments and equipment safe?
